Community Grants are made in support of social services, arts and culture, community economic development, education, environment, health and animal welfare within the Ottawa region. Most grants average between $8,000 - $10,000. Some grants are smaller and others may involve multi-year funding and larger amounts (over $10,000). These larger grants may provide project funding, focus on building organizational capacity or seeding new programs. The application deadlines are February 1 and October 1.  

Ottawa Citizen Literacy Foundation
Charitable organizations are invited to apply for funds to support literacy and language training in geographical areas served by the Ottawa Citizen in Eastern Ontario and Western Québec. The annual deadline for applications is October 1.
