Strategic Impact Grants:
How to Apply
Strategic Impact Grants are broader than the Community
Grants Program and could include multi-year funding, larger amounts
(over $10,000), project funding, as well as grants that focus
on building organizational capacity or seeding new programs.
Please prepare a Letter of Intent, letting us know what you would like to do, what impact it
could have and how much it might cost. Be sure to include information
about your organization or partnership and the name and number
of the contact person.
If the Community Foundation
of Ottawa or one of its donors determines that it may be able
to support the proposal, you will be asked to submit a more detailed
application.
Please note that there
are limited funds available for these grants, the process is highly
competitive and very few full applications will be requested.
Prior to submitting your Letter of Intent, we ask that you carefully
review our Granting
Guidelines. We also encourage you to contact
the grantmaking staff at the Community Foundation to
discuss your project.
Please note:
- We will accept only one Letter of Intent at a time from an organization.
- We are unable to accept requests by fax or email.
- Organizations should complete any previous CFO-funded project and report back before reapplying.
- Your completed evaluation report will be included in any future applications that you may submit to the Community Foundation of Ottawa for review by the Grants Committee.
- Your Letter of Intent should be submitted on standard paper (8½" X 11").
If you have questions, please call 613-236-1616 ext. 308.
