the awards program recognizes effective communications efforts
to increase public awareness of foundations and corporate giving
programs. The Community Foundation of Ottawa received the award
for its website. The award will be presented at the 56th Annual
Conference of the Council on Foundations in San Diego on Monday,

to the awards program included annual or biennial reports, newsletters,
special reports, public policy campaigns and websites. This year
247 entries from all over North America were submitted to the
awards program. A panel of judges with expertise in communications
and/or philanthropy gave CFO 's website very high marks (94%)
and provided very favourable feedback, "Absolutely on target.
This site is clearly navigable and a pleasure to use," writes
one of the judges, "Dual French/English sites serve the [Foundation's]
constituents."
Barbara
